Astral Projection

Anyone can have an out of body experience

Without even knowing it you've already traveled, many times, to the astral plane. Astral projection occurs naturally without you even being aware of it. At night, when you sleep, your astral body drifts away partially or completely from your physical body and returns just as naturally prior to your awakening. If you've experienced that jolting feeling and been startled from a half asleep state, this is your Astral Body returning too rapidly to your physical form. The Astral Dimension While consciously experiencing an out of body experience the Astral Plane seems solid but is actually changeable and amorphous. Time can seem distorted and extended. There are an infinite number of realities, planes & realms in the astral dimension. Novice Astral Travelers will find it takes practice to achieve deliberate astral journeys to specific realities. Learning how to move amongst the various levels is something best learned by doing. Astral Projection -- A Primer Due to article length restrictions this article can only offer an overview of the selected Astral Projection Technique -- further information can be found via any reputable search engine, we would suggest you undertake further personal research to fully acquaint yourself with the intricacies of this subject. First Things First 1. Remember that Astral Projection is a naturally occurring phenomenon while sleeping so work on losing your fear of the unknown as this will have a detrimental effect on your progress. 2. On each occasion ensure that you adopt a common sense approach and protect your physical body and your astral form. 3. Don't attempt Astral Projection while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 4. Lead up to the experience by entertaining positive and wholesome thoughts about yourself, your peers and your imminent Astral Travel experience. It is rare for one to experience anything negative or harmful while traversing the Astral Planes. One theory says you only encounter whatever you yourself project in the Astral Plane. If you enter with goodness in your heart and expect that things will go well then your experience can only be positive. Always visualize a protective circle around yourself before astral travel. Imagine a white light around you. See two large white hands come down and gently clean your aura from head to toe, cleaning away any negativity, embrace and enjoy the all over clean feeling this gives. Also -- remind yourself that as long as you are a positive & upbeat person any negative force would be repelled from you. Astral Projection -- One Basic Technique Adopt a comfortable position in a quiet place where you know you won't be interrupted, preferably upright in an armchair as you may tend to fall asleep if lying down. If you need to mask any distracting sounds use music suitable for meditation with no loud drum beats. Clear your head of random thoughts. Focus on your breathing -- in through your nose, out through your mouth. Visualize yourself breathing in tranquility and breathing out any disharmony. Focus on each part of your body starting with your feet and finishing up at your head. As you breathe out, think...'My body is relaxing'. When you feel very relaxed, choose a phrase or mantra to repeat over and over to yourself such as, 'I fly, I float, I rise' or count down from 10 to 1. If your mind starts drifting to other things simply return to your mantra. You will enter a heightened state of awareness where your inner self is highly aware (e.g. hearing) but your body is incredibly heavy and relaxed. It is in this state that you are ready to project your astral body into the astral plane. Continue to repeat the phrase that you have already used to reach your heightened state. Clear your head of everything and repeat the phrase, 'I fly, I float, I rise' over and over again. This may take time to achieve the desired result but sooner or later you will leave your physical form. With perseverance and patience you will leave your physical body. Unfortunately, the initial realization that you have projected may force you back to your body. With endurance it will become easier. What Occurs Next? As you begin to leave your body: You will feel like you are beginning to move. This is similar to the experience of traveling in a moving vehicle. This feeling is the result of your Astral Body beginning to separate from your physical body. You'll notice an abundance of lights and colors in front of your eyes. This is just the natural transition into the astral plane. You're there...explore by using your thoughts to move around. Further research is recommended regarding the Astral Plane environment as the subject is beyond the scope of this brief article. Returning to the Physical Simply make the decision to return to your body, visualize yourself back in your body. Count from 1 to 10, focus on each part of your body and begin to move them all slowly. Spend time coming back round as you may have been physically motionless for hours -- another good reason to ensure you are in a comfortable position before commencing.
